02 August 2023: RENEWING THE SPIRIT OF FAITH MUST BE YOUR GOAL (2) – 2 Corinthians 4:13; Romans 12:3

We need to renew the spirit of faith because if you don’t service it, it becomes stale and stiff, just like the engine of a car. If you don’t change the engine oil, the oil loses its viscosity, and it may become less effective. Some machine parts need oil to remain lubricated and maintained for smooth running. In the same way, renewing the spirit of faith keeps it working strongly in our lives.

I can tell you categorically that there is no situation you are facing that faith in God cannot change, no matter the situation. As important as it is to have the God-kind of faith and be aware of it, so is it equally important to service and regularly renew it. This renewal of the spirit of faith is done day by day. It means today’s renewal of the spirit of faith will not suffice for tomorrow’s need for faith.

You must know that you have the spirit of faith. If you are born again, you already have the spirit of faith.

However, you can’t renew the spirit of faith you have no idea you have. It is the same spirit of faith David had when he confronted Goliath and killed a lion and a bear. In 2 Corinthians 4:13, Apostle Paul says “We” referring to all of us born-again people and pointing out that we have the same spirit of faith. You have to decide if that spirit of faith will rule your life or not.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace for consistency in feeding the spirit of faith in me. The spirit of faith in me will not become stale in Jesus’ name. Amen!
