16 Feb 2022: THE CREATIVE POWER OF THE WORD OF GOD – Hebrews 11:3

The word of God has creative ability whenever a believer puts it in his or her mouth. If you want to see anything in the visible, you will have to use the same Word of God that God used to create the world to create that thing.

Let me show you three expressions of the Word when the Bible says ‘the Word of God’:

1. The Living Word – 1 Joh. 1:1-4
When the Bible refers to the Word here, it comes from the Greek word logos; that means “The Living Word”. This is Jesus, the Word of God sitting at the right hand of the Father in Heaven.

2. The Written Word – 2 Tim. 3:16-17
In the passage above, “Scripture” in the Greek is called graphe, which means the written Word of God. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness that the man of God may be sound and perfect. The written Scripture is given to us as we study to encounter the Living Word.

3. The Spoken Word – Romans 10:17
This third expression of the Word of God is the spoken word. The Word of God in this passage refers to rhema, that is, the Spoken Word. First, faith comes by the rhema, knowledge comes as you study the written Word of God. Fellowship comes as you fellowship with the Living Word. But miracles take place when you begin to speak the Word of God out.

PRAYER: LORD, help me to use Your word effectively to create the miraculous in my life. Amen.
