The prodigal son asked his father to give him his portion before being made and he squandered all he was given. Watch many men who get married without becoming husbands, you will find out that they cheat and mistreat their wives. They are not patient and they lack largeness of heart. Many men don’t recognise the fact that their wives have been labouring all through the day.
Most times, when women marry, their labour is much more than that of men. A woman has to take care of herself, go to work, take care of children, carry pregnancies, cook for the family, etc. It’s just a lot of demand on a woman. Not only that, when some women deliver a baby, the first thing that the husband asks is how the baby is, he forgets to ask how the wife is. The reason this happens is because most people rush into doing without waiting to become. Let God make you first.
Don’t just get into life doing something without becoming something. It hurts so many things, and so many people.
If you were watching Jesus when He was leading the twelve Apostles around, perhaps you would have mocked, or you would ask why He was spending His time with those half-educated people. If you were the Son of God and you wanted to have a global ministry with the kind of calculations that the world is thinking, you would have called five presidents with their senate presidents. You would then choose the UN Secretary General, but which company has lasted as long as the Church that Jesus established? This tells you that what God is looking for may be different from what men are looking for.
PRAYER: Lord, open my eyes to see what You, _ are looking for in my life early, for me to take right steps in the right direction early.
