People don’t always need your long sermon; sometimes they need your short story. God has made you an extension of Jesus in your world, and everyday victories are doors for the gospel. When someone congratulates you for an exam, a promotion, a deal, a healing, or an escape from danger, don’t swallow the glory and just smile. Use that moment: “It is Jesus.” If you take the glory, you have closed the door; if you point to Christ, you have opened it. In Acts, one miracle at the gate became a megaphone: after the lame man walked, the crowd gathered, and the Word entered with conviction (Acts 3:6 KJV). That is wisdom: let God’s dealings with you become a bridge to salvation. Your testimony is proof that Christ is alive, not a theory, and a hungry heart listens to proof more than it listens to grammar.
The book of Revelation says they overcame “by the word of their testimony (Revelation 12:11 KJV).” Testimony is a weapon, but only when Jesus is the centre. Don’t use testimony to advertise yourself; use it to advertise the Saviour. Keep it clean and truthful then connect it to the gospel. Some people won’t read a tract, but they will respect your story: so, make sure your story points to Christ, not to your ego. And don’t just drop the story and run; ask the question that matters: Would you like to receive Jesus too? When the Holy Spirit is involved, one sincere testimony can prick a heart faster than ten arguments, because it carries assurance and makes salvation look possible.
So live alert. Before you leave home, pray that God will lead you to prepared hearts, and keep your spirit sensitive through the day.
Go deliberately if you must: alone or with another believer: and be willing to pray for people’s needs, because the Jesus that saves also heals and delivers. Watch for openings, and when it comes, don’t waste it. If they are ready, lead them to Christ immediately; if they are not, leave the door open and keep praying. This is the last day of the month, but it must not be the last day of your witness. Keep sowing; God will keep saving.
THOUGHT TO PONDER: Do I point people to Jesus when life goes well, or do I take the glory? What simple testimony will I use this week as a bridge to lead someone to Christ?
PRAYER: Lord, make my life a living witness. Give me boldness to testify of Jesus, and use my testimony to draw souls to salvation, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
