The church is not in existence for us just to gather, it is to process us into the nature and the structure that God wants us to be to do what He plans for us to do. When God calls different people to member a church He has set up through a man, every instruction that He gives must of necessity be observed by the members. This is a very important point.
The two kinds of leading that exist in the Body of Christ are individual leadings and corporate leadings. When God wants to speak to a corporate gathering, He doesn’t talk to members for the corporate gathering. God talks to the head for us. The leading for us comes through the calling and once you’re part of the “us,” you are accountable. People get in trouble when they begin to do just whatever they like and expect the pastor to run around when they get in trouble.
When you get a visa for a country, they tell you what to do when you enter the country: what your visa allows and what it does not allow. In the same way, it is important that you understand what salvation allows and does not allow you to do. God has order in His Kingdom. Why did Ananias and Sapphira die in church? It was because they thought they were dealing with men but that was a big mistake. When you come to church as a believer, as soon as you enter the premises of the Church, Zion is in session, not just the building now but the church is in session; and you come under the auspices of the government of God.
PRAYER: Father, I thank you for your moulding hand at work upon me in church. I receive grace to remain true to your purpose for me in Jesus’ name.
