Today, we will be looking at prophecy as another visible leader. Prophecy is where God is going. It will lead you accurately to a divine destination that God has designed for you. Prophecy also shows you divine positions that God is leading you to. It can be a word in a creative form bringing forth what is not there initially. Prophecy can also be in form of revelations, in a way that it gives insight into God’s purposes for you.
Be careful about seemingly divine communications that contradict your prophecy.
When you receive a leading that takes you out of God’s prophecy, such leading will lead you into error. Remember yesterday, I talked about the word of prophecy that came during our annual convention that God was moving me from Ilesha to Lagos. That word was contrary to the written prophecy we had received in the ministry.
Once you sense a shift from your prophecy, don’t follow it. Isaac had a prophecy and followed God’s instruction. Despite the opposition he faced to get out from the land, he still dwelt in the valley of Gerar. Never move away from where your prophecy is to happen due to economic hardship, emotional feelings and false prophecy from men. The word, “more sure word of prophecy” is a comparison between the vision and the word. Therefore, whatever you receive from your spirit or by prophecy or by any other spectacular encounter, if anything contradicts as little as one principle or truth of the Bible, drop it! It cannot be God because God will never violate His word.
PRAYER: Holy Spirit, cause an alarm bell to ring in my spirit against any wrong prophecy or leading that can take me out of God’s will for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.
