26 September 2026: GIVE YOUR FUTURE TIME TO GROW – Job 8:7; Hebrews 6:12

Real wealth needs time to grow. Quick money is one of the devil’s most destructive lies because it makes people despise process, small beginnings and patient labour. Time is a major part of wealth creation. Set goals in five-year and ten-year cycles, then break them into yearly, monthly, weekly and daily actions. Time will pass whether you plan or not, but planning allows every season to deposit something into your future. What people later call sudden success is often the visible result of years of hidden work. Do not be deceived by the moment of manifestation; honour the long obedience that produced it.

Years ago, one of my pastors watched me spend long hours counselling students and asked whether I was wasting my time. I told him I was not ministering only to their present state; I was ministering to their future. Today, he is a consultant physician and a father. The years would still have passed if I had ignored him because he looked small at the time. In the same way, you may be neglecting a little business, skill, relationship or idea because it is not producing quick results. If God inspired it, give it time. You do not need ten instructions at once. You need one clear instruction and the patience to keep applying yourself until it matures.

The devil knows that many people cannot handle the passage of time, so he wears them out while they wait. They begin strongly, become discouraged by slow progress and abandon what was about to take root. Refuse that pattern. Allow yourself time to learn, adjust and grow. Ten months may not be enough to judge an assignment designed for ten years. Two years may still be part of preparation. Keep working the principles of God and let patience strengthen you rather than weaken you. Deposit something into the bank of your future every day: a page studied, an amount saved, a skill practised, a relationship nurtured or a task completed. Small deposits become substantial through consistency. Do not measure your progress only by visible applause or immediate profit. Measure whether you are obeying, improving and building. Though your beginning is small, your latter end can greatly increase. But increase belongs to those who remain faithful long enough for seed to become harvest. Honour time, and time will reveal the value of your obedience. Patience does not mean inactivity. It means continuing the right work without demanding premature results. Keep evaluating your methods, receiving correction and sharpening your execution. A seed left in the soil still requires care. Protect it from discouragement and give the process the attention required for healthy growth. Faithful waiting is active, watchful and spiritually intelligent.

Have I abandoned anything valuable because results were not immediate? What daily action must I sustain so that time can multiply it into something substantial?

PRAYER

Father, deliver me from the deception of quick money. Give me patience and strength to remain faithful until every seed You have given me matures.
