Submission To God’s Kingdom

Another act that moves the hand of God in our favour is demonstrating genuine submission to God’s Kingdom. When a believer truly understands the Kingdom of God, he recognises that everything he has ultimately belongs to God. This understanding transforms the way he views his possessions, resources, and opportunities. Instead of seeing himself as the owner, he begins to see himself as a steward. Jesus emphasised this principle when He taught about stewardship and faithfulness, saying, “He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much” (Luke 16:10). When a believer recognises that his life and resources belong to God, he becomes willing to use them according to God’s direction. Such acts demonstrate submission to the Kingdom of God and move the hand of God because they show that the believer has yielded control of his life to the Lord.

A key aspect of Kingdom submission is the willingness to obey God even when His instructions challenge personal comfort. Sometimes God may ask a believer to give, serve, or act in ways that seem costly or inconvenient. The question then becomes whether the believer truly believes that everything belongs to God. The Bible reminds us that “the earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof” (Psalm 24:1). When a believer understands this truth deeply, obedience becomes easier because he realises that he is only managing what God has entrusted to him. Acts of obedience that reflect this understanding often provoke divine intervention. When God sees that a believer is willing to honour His authority over every aspect of life, heaven begins to respond with unusual favour and provision.

Submission to God’s Kingdom also creates a spiritual cycle of blessing. When a believer obeys God with what he has, God often moves other people and circumstances to supply what he needs. The Kingdom of God functions through partnership and obedience among its members. One person’s act of obedience can become the channel through which God blesses another person. This is why acts of stewardship and obedience carry great spiritual significance. They demonstrate trust in God’s authority and commitment to His Kingdom. When believers consistently live as faithful stewards rather than independent owners, they position themselves for the powerful movement of God’s hand in their lives.

THOUGHT TO PONDER

Do I truly see myself as a steward of what God has given me? What area of my life must I surrender more fully to God’s authority?

PRAYER

Father, help me recognise that everything I have belongs to You. Teach me to live as a faithful steward in Your Kingdom so that my life continually honours Your authority, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
