24 February 2026: DON’T JUST KEEP CONVERTS: MULTIPLY DISCIPLES – Mark 5:19; 2 Timothy 2:2

Jesus didn’t save people to sit down and spectate; He saves them to stand up and witness. The best time to build a soul winner is when the fire of salvation is still fresh. Don’t wait until the new believer is “perfect” before you let him talk, perfection is not the entry requirement; obedience is. Many believers make a convert feel like he must first graduate from holiness before he can speak, so the man stays quiet, and his friends never hear. That is not wisdom; that is delay. The moment God touches a life, that life becomes evidence. Don’t cage it. Turn the convert into a witness, and you will see multiplication instead of endless maintenance.

Jesus told the delivered man, “Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee (Mark 5:19 KJV).” That is the simplest pattern of early evangelism: testimony. A new believer may not know deep doctrine yet, but he knows what happened to him: darkness broke, guilt lifted, Christ came in. That is enough to start. Then you train him. “The things that thou hast heard… commit thou to faithful men (2 Timothy 2:2 KJV).” Don’t pour everything at once like you’re flooding a baby; give him milk, then teach him to pass it on. Discipleship is not only feeding; it is training for reproduction. If the new believer is taught early to pray, read the Word, fellowship, and testify, he grows faster and he stays stronger.

A stagnant convert becomes a struggling convert; a witnessing convert becomes a growing convert.

So be practical. Within the first week, help him write a simple testimony in three parts: my life before Christ, how I met Christ, my life now. Then give him an assignment: list five friends or family members he must “go home” to and pray for them daily. Coach him on what to say: simple gospel, no arguments: and encourage him to invite them to church or fellowship and to bring them close enough to hear truth. Pair him with a mature believer for follow-up, and keep checking: Bible, prayer, fellowship, testimony. Remind him that the devil will try to shame him with his past; shut it down: he is forgiven, and his mouth is still useful to God. When you disciple converts into multiplication, you don’t just win one soul; you start a chain reaction, and heaven begins to count increase.

THOUGHT TO PONDER: Am I raising converts into dependence or into multiplication? Who is one “friend” I will help a new believer reach this week?

PRAYER: Father, turn every convert into a bold witness. Teach me to disciple quickly and multiply disciples for Your kingdom, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
