26 Apr 2022: SPIRITUAL REALITIES – Colossians 1:13-17; 4:16-18

The human being is a spirit that has a soul and lives in a body. You don’t see your spirit but it’s there. Also, you can be a Christian that knows the technicalities of Christianity without the life of it.

The spirit realm is a reality. Angels and other beings exist in the spirit realm. That you cannot see them does not mean something is not going on there. The Bible says, “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse” (Rom. 1:20). If you have a phone, you can make calls and even have FaceTime with people. You can see each other but you can’t touch each other. Those are physical realities.

The Bible is your picture of the realities in the spirit. If you believe FaceTime more than you believe the Bible, you are foolish. The person that you see on FaceTime should not be more real to you than the angels in Psalm 91. An iPhone or Android phone is not superior to Psalm 91 in showing you the realities on that other side of physical realities.

The Holy Ghost is connected to your spirit man and He gives you direction. If the family of a brother that has prayed for a wife asks him when he will get married, he should not worry because God is doing it. When he tells them, “God is doing it”, they may not believe him but he is acting on the fact that God is working and influencing things for him.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I thank You for Your Word. I make a fresh commitment to promptly and completely act on what You say to me and show me daily in Jesus’ name. Amen!
