If you don’t know the Lord as the man of war, you will not be able to experience His fighting hands. The children of Israel saw the chariots of Pharaoh and lost hope. They were afraid and began to complain because they did not know the ways of the Lord and the God behind the acts. At this point, they chose to die as slaves rather than to enter into freedom as sons of God. Many people today prefer to continue in their position of servitude under the elements of this world, under spiritual forces and wicked forces of the devil because they don’t know that there is a God that can deliver them. They still abide by traditions, culture, and superstitions of their society and tribe.
When you don’t know God as Jehovah-Nissi, fear will cause you to run to what you know, and you will be defeated. Moses knew God as a man of war, which was why he could stand still (Ex 14:13-14). God wants you to know His ways, which you can, by hearing and understanding the word of God.
Although there may be reasons to fear during battles, if you know your God, you will be confident that those that are with you are more than those that are against you.
When you know the Lord as Jehovah-Nissi, He will make your enemy be at a disadvantage. God can slow down the enemy such that they are not able to catch up with you. Anyone who sets himself as your enemy either as a spirit or a human being will operate at a disadvantage because God is fighting for you.
PRAYER: I will experience the fighting hand of God in all my battles and circumstances in Jesus’ name.
