Listen while praying, commuting, or preparing for the day. There is a dimension of faith that many believers never enter, and it is the dimension of knowing. It is one thing to believe; it is another thing to know. The Bible says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” That means the problem of a believer is not primarily the devil, it is ignorance. God has made provisions for His children, but those provisions are accessed through knowledge. Many people receive temporary relief in church; prayers are answered, needs are met, but they do not receive understanding. So, after a while, they return to the same struggles. God does not only want to meet your needs; He wants to give you knowledge so you can live above those needs permanently.
Ignorance is dangerous because it opens the door to destruction, captivity, and even divine neglect. The Bible shows that when God’s people lack knowledge, they go into captivity; spiritually, mentally, physically, and even financially. That means your freedom in life is tied to what you know. The devil cannot dominate a believer who truly knows the truth, because knowledge positions you in authority. But when a believer is ignorant, even though he is born again, he can still live like a defeated man. That is why God keeps emphasizing knowledge throughout Scripture; He wants His people to know Him, to know His ways, and to know what He has made available.
So, take responsibility for increasing your knowledge of God. Do not settle for surface-level Christianity. Spend time in the Word until what you believe becomes what you know. There is a difference between saying “God can do it” and saying, “I know He has done it for me.” When you come to that place of knowing, your confidence changes, your response to situations changes, and your faith becomes stable. You will stop being tossed around by circumstances because your foundation is now knowledge. From today, pursue understanding deliberately. Let your faith grow beyond belief into knowing. That is where unshakable results begin.
THOUGHT TO PONDER
Do I only believe God can act, or do I truly know He will act in my situation? What knowledge of God am I lacking that is limiting my faith?
PRAYER
Father, deepen my understanding of You. Move me from mere belief into knowing, and establish my faith on a solid foundation, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
