There is something you must understand about knowledge: it is not neutral. What you know can either strengthen your faith or weaken it. The Bible says we should be “wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.” Many believers are filled with all kinds of information, but they do not realise that the content of their knowledge is shaping their faith daily. If your mind is constantly exposed to negative reports, fearful stories, and defeatist experiences, it will begin to build strongholds that the enemy can use against you. For example, if a person keeps hearing about tragedies, failures, or sicknesses, those images will begin to speak louder than the Word of God when faith is required. Knowledge is a seed; whatever you plant will eventually grow.

The devil does not need to create new lies if he can use the information already stored in your mind. Many people are trying to believe God for healing, breakthrough, or victory, but the knowledge they have accumulated is working against them. They have read too many negative outcomes, listened to too many discouraging testimonies, and filled their hearts with doubt. So, when they try to stand in faith, that negative knowledge rises to challenge them. On the other hand, when you fill your heart with the knowledge of God’s faithfulness; testimonies from Scripture, accounts of His power, and truths from His Word, you are building a strong foundation for faith. Then, when challenges come, the Holy Spirit has something to work with inside you.

So, be deliberate about what you allow into your mind. Do not consume information carelessly. Filter what you hear, what you read, and what you dwell on. If something does not strengthen your faith, question its place in your life. Feed your mind with the Word of God until it becomes your dominant knowledge. When you know that God has done it before, you will be confident that He can do it again. That is how faith becomes strong and productive. Remember, what you know will either become a weapon for the enemy or a tool for the Holy Ghost; choose wisely what you store within you.

THOUGHT TO PONDER

What kind of knowledge currently dominates my mind; faith-building or fear-producing? What must I stop feeding on to protect my faith?

PRAYER

Lord, help me to guard my mind carefully. Fill me with the knowledge of Your truth and remove every negative influence that weakens my faith, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
