19 March 2026: MERCY OVERRULES EVERY PLAN MADE AGAINST YOU – Jeremiah 29:11; Psalm 92:7–9

One of the quiet assurances mercy gives a believer is confidence in God’s intentions. Many people are troubled not just by present challenges, but by fear of what the enemy may be planning. Yet Scripture settles this fear plainly: God’s thoughts toward His people are thoughts of peace, not of evil, to give an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11). Mercy ensures that God’s thoughts prevail over every contrary plan. The enemy may strategise, scheme, and attempt to manipulate circumstances, but mercy stands as a higher authority. Mercy is God’s overruling verdict against every plot designed to derail destiny.

The enemy often appears successful for a season, creating the illusion that wickedness has the upper hand. But Scripture warns us not to be intimidated by temporary flourishing. Psalm 92 explains that when the wicked spring up, it is only to be destroyed forever (Psalm 92:7–9). Mercy guarantees that evil does not have longevity. While the enemy invests energy into destruction, God quietly secures the future of His people. Mercy ensures that no plan formed against you can reach its intended conclusion.

Even when you do not understand the delay or confusion, mercy is rearranging outcomes in your favour.

Your response today must be rest, not anxiety. Stop trying to outthink the enemy or defend yourself obsessively. Mercy has already gone ahead of you. Trust God’s intentions more than you fear satanic plots. When mercy is involved, the enemy’s advantage is temporary, but your preservation is permanent. Refuse to panic when opposition rises; it is often a sign that mercy is enforcing God’s verdict. As you move forward, anchor your heart here: God’s thoughts for you will outlive every hostile plan. Mercy ensures that you will arrive at the end God designed, not the end the enemy imagined.

THOUGHT TO PONDER: Am I more focused on what the enemy may be planning than on God’s merciful intentions? How can trusting God’s thoughts bring peace to my heart today?

PRAYER: Father, thank You for Your mercy that overrules every evil plan. Help me to rest in Your good intentions and walk in peace, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
