16 November 2025: CONFIDENCE THAT BRINGS RESULTS – 1 John 5:14–15, Jeremiah 1:12

Confidence in prayer is not wishful thinking; it is the assurance that God hears and answers when you ask according to His will. Scripture declares, “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: and if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him” (1 John 5:14–15). Prayer becomes effective when it is built on God’s will revealed in His Word. Without this assurance, your prayers will sound like uncertain experiments rather than petitions of faith.

God Himself said, “…for I will hasten my word to perform it” (Jeremiah 1:12). Notice He did not promise to perform your worries, fears, or complaints. He is committed only to His Word. This is why confidence in prayer flows from knowing His promises and presenting them back to Him. When you pray the Word, you are not begging God to do something new; you are aligning yourself with what He has already declared. That is why heaven responds. Many believers do not get results because their prayers are vague, unscriptural, or rooted in human desires rather than divine will.

Prayer is not about bending God’s arm but about agreeing with His will.

Beloved, you must develop the habit of searching the Scriptures before praying. Find what God has said concerning your need, and then present it boldly. This is how Elijah prayed effectively for rain—he stood on God’s word. This is how Jesus silenced the devil—“It is written.” Don’t go to God with empty words; go with covenant terms. As you do, confidence rises, and results follow. From today, let every request you make be anchored on Scripture. Heaven honours the Word, and the Word will secure your answers.

THOUGHT TO PONDER: Do I anchor my prayers on God’s Word, or do I merely express my feelings? Am I confident that God hears me because I pray according to His will?

PRAYER: Lord, help me to pray only according to Your will. Let my confidence be rooted in Your Word, and let my prayers produce results always. Amen.
