02 December 2022: FOLLOW THE AUTHOR’S PRESCRIPTION ON MARRIAGE – Ephesians 5:22-33

Over the years, I have listened to and counselled different people on the subject of marriage, and I found out that problems persist because people are not willing to adapt to the ways of God. When a person decides to make a turn to adopt and follow the instructions and commandments of God on marriage, the problem will be over.

God’s words are steadfast, and His standards stand sure. But when man refuses to change and begins a blame-shifting mission, the problem will continue.

For example, if a wife refuses to acknowledge her wrong and begins to shift the blame of challenges in her home on her in-laws, the situation will persist. But the moment she turns to God and employs godly wisdom, things will turn out for good.

I remember the story of an old couple that got married when they were in their 60s and 70s, and they discovered that they matched each other so well. Before they met at that age, both had gone different ways and married different people who eventually died. But they were never fulfilled in those marriages until they found each other, and it was like the hand found the glove because they discovered the purpose of God for their marriage.

There is a designer husband and there is a designer wife that fits every single man and woman so well. Even for married people that have all sorts of complications, God can always put things right because He is the Potter of the House of Israel.

PRAYER: Father, let every wrong attitude in me that has resulted in backwardness in my marriage be totally corrected in Jesus’ name. Amen!
