18 September 2026: INFORMATION IS A HIGHER FORM OF WEALTH – 1 Thessalonians 5:21; Proverbs 18:13

Information is a higher form of wealth, and it must be pursued in three ways: critically, strategically and statistically. Many people make serious decisions based on stories, rumours and repeated assumptions rather than verified facts. Stories are powerful because they stir emotion, but statistics reveal proportion and reality. When you believe exaggerated stories, you form conclusions on a false foundation. Poor decisions often begin where facts were never examined. Wealthy and effective people learn to ask questions, verify claims and separate what is true from what merely sounds convincing.

The devil is a manipulative storyteller. He tells people, “You cannot succeed here,” “Nobody from your background makes it,” or “This opportunity is impossible.” If you accept the story without investigation, you can surrender before you begin. A woman once told me that a certain minister had been arrested and was being held in a prison. She said the report was everywhere. Rather than repeat it, I contacted a lawyer and asked him to verify the matter. He checked and found no such person there. Imagine the damage that could have followed if I had spread the report simply because it was popular. Falsehood gains strength whenever people repeat what suits their emotions without checking the facts.

Train yourself to prove all things and hold fast to what is good. Before entering a business, changing profession, investing money or forming an opinion about a person, identify the critical information you need. Seek strategic information that affects your next move, and study statistical information that shows patterns rather than isolated experiences. Information can save years of wasted labour. A single accurate fact about demand, cost, regulation, location or timing may be more valuable than a large amount of money placed in an uninformed hand. Therefore, do not pursue information casually. Record what you learn, consult credible people and distinguish personal testimony from general evidence. Facts do not replace divine guidance, but they help you execute divine guidance with precision. Ask who produced the information, what evidence supports it and whether the figures are current and relevant. Refuse the laziness of accepting every story. Investigate, compare, pray and think. Accurate information can reveal opportunities hidden behind fear, while false information can make you abandon what God has prepared.

Lord, deliver me from deception, rumours and emotional conclusions. Give me discernment to verify information and make decisions based on truth and divine wisdom.
