19 September 2026: THE GATHERER’S ANOINTING: BREAKING THE PATTERN OF SCATTERING – Zechariah 1:20-21; Psalm 92:10

There is a spiritual dimension to gathering and accumulation. Some people work, save and build with genuine effort, yet just when their resources are approaching a meaningful level, a strange pattern appears and everything is scattered. The Bible shows that there are powers that scatter so that a person cannot lift up his head. The spirit of the scatterer may operate through repeated emergencies, unreasonable losses, wrong decisions or mental confusion. Its aim is not merely to take money; it wants to frustrate progress and keep a person cycling through labour without visible result. You must therefore learn to discern when a repeated pattern is more than ordinary pressure and rise against every influence that continually breaks what you are trying to build. Do not normalise a history in which every attempt at progress ends in the same kind of collapse.

A man may gather money for a project, only for a sudden crisis to arise and consume everything. When he starts again, another strange event appears, and the cycle repeats. The scatterer can also attack the mind, making a person unable to harness his thoughts, stay focused or complete anything definite. It may push someone emotionally into decisions that destroy years of labour. A person can remain in a marriage, business, ministry or profession for many years and then, near harvest, come under a compulsion to walk away from everything without sound judgement. Do not allow ancestral patterns, emotional pressure or sudden offence to push you out of your reward. Every decision that destroys accumulated labour must be examined prayerfully and soberly. Not every strong feeling should be obeyed, especially when it contradicts wisdom, covenant and the fruit of many years of faithful investment.

God showed Zechariah horns that had scattered Judah, but He also showed him carpenters sent to cast those horns down. This means the power to scatter can be confronted and broken. You must resist it spiritually and practically. Receive a sound mind, refuse panic decisions and create structures that protect what you gather. Keep records, build accountability, insure what can be insured, seek counsel and do not carry every burden alone. At the same time, pray with authority against every recurring pattern of loss. God did not call you to labour endlessly without harvest. Let your efforts begin to come together. Let your resources, relationships, ideas and assignments gather into something tangible. Refuse the history of beginning again and again without completion. The gatherer’s anointing will help you preserve, organise and multiply what God places in your hands. You will not be small, and your labour will not be wasted. Everything that has pressed you down and prevented you from lifting your head must give way to the power and wisdom of God.

PRAYER

Father, break every power assigned to scatter my efforts and resources. Give me a sound mind and the gatherer’s anointing to preserve and complete what You place in my hands.
