David laid down an important truth here that “The Lord is my shepherd”. Notice that the picture is that of a shepherd and sheep, the sheep follows the shepherd. The security and the safety of the sheep depends on the accuracy of the voice of the shepherd in the life of the sheep. Today, we’ll be considering some of the blessings of divine guidance:
1. ACCURACY AND ON-TIME ANOINTING: When there is divine direction over your life, you will get to your destination in time and accurately. Today, many people are delayed in life; they suffer unnecessary delays and hindrances in life because they don’t have access to divine direction. Divine direction will assure you of getting to your destination on time.
2. ABUNDANT SUPPLY: When the Lord leads you, He will lead you into the places where your provisions in life are located. Today, some people lack many things needed for the fulfilment of their destiny simply because they do not give priority to divine guidance and divine direction in their lives. God describes His people as sheep and one good quality of a sheep is that it follows its leader. A goat, on the other hand, does not follow leadership.
Your ability and willingness to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit is one outstanding mark of a child of God.
Today, too many people are following their brain, and your brain cannot lead you to where divine provisions are guaranteed.
PRAYER: Lord, I ask that you give me a sheep-like heart to follow You. Make me lead-able in life and help me to embrace every divine activity you are bringing into my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
