Spirit Meat Daily Devotional
24 September 2023: THE DANGER OF THE EXECUTIVE MINDSET (2) – Deuteronomy 8:18; Jeremiah 48:10a (AMP); Luke 16:12
Β
Having an executive mindset turns a man into a lazy person in life, and this is not consistent with the scripture. The Bible says, ββ¦if any would not work, neither should he eatβ (2 The. 3:10). Many people prefer laziness because someone else is bearing the burden of the work for them. Many public agencies fail because of this attitudinal problem where people refuse to take responsibility for things, all in the name of βit belongs to the governmentβ. The surprising truth is that the same work, with the same set of people, will succeed if privatised.
Some people want to bring this negative mindset into the Body of Christ as well, and you see them handle their things better than they handle the things of God.
That is looking for trouble and sowing a negative seed that the harvest in the next generation will not be palatable (Jer. 48:10a, AMP). You should avoid that like a plague.
A tenant who does not take care of his landlordβs property in his custody will not be able to handle his own house if he ever builds his own. Godβs plan is for you to use someone elseβs things to train yourself to handle your own (Luke 16:12).
PRAYER: LORD, help me to develop the right attitude to wealth creation in life, in Jesusβ name. Amen!
