According to the Bible, there are various categories of human beings. There are those who have come to this earth, lived here, and gone back either to heaven or to hell. Heaven or hell are the only two destinations after this earth. This earth is not the end of the road; there is heaven to gain and hell to lose. The door to heaven is Jesus Christ – having a relationship with Jesus, submitting your life to His Lordship, and living under His direction.
Then, there are human beings that are living on the earth now, you and I. We are living in this body of flesh but it is not this body of flesh that makes a man; it is the spirit that lives inside a man that is the real man. It is the spirit that is hungry for the fulfilment of purpose and destiny; it is that spirit that is crying after God. Moreover, you and I are going to give account of how we live in this flesh. One day, we are going to stand before the judgment seat of Christ to give account of what we have done in the body, whether good or bad.
In the third category are human beings that have not come to this earth yet. They are not lesser human beings than those of us that are here or those that have come and gone because they are in existence before God. You existed before you were born. In Jeremiah 1:4-5, God didn’t say, “I’m knowing you now”. You were formed when your father and mother came together and conception took place but you have been in existence with God before then. The channel that you came through is your father and mother. Nevertheless, the Source from which you and I came is God.
PRAYER: Lord, I receive the wisdom to take the paths that have been predestined for what You have created me for in Jesus’ name. Amen!
