5 July 2026: SEE WHAT GOD HAS SET BEFORE YOU – Revelation 3:8; Deuteronomy 1:8

One of the greatest errors believers make is trying to pursue what God has not set before them. Vision is not something you manufacture; it is something God reveals. When God told Abraham, “Lift up now thine eyes,” He was not asking him to imagine anything he liked; He was directing him to see what had already been prepared for him. There is a difference between what your eyes can see naturally and what God has set before you spiritually. Many people are running after things simply because they look attractive, profitable, or successful in someone else’s life. But in the kingdom, success is not imitation; it is alignment. If you pursue what God has not set before you, you may achieve something, but you will not fulfil destiny.

God has already set certain things before every believer in His Word, healing, victory over sin, prosperity, and a life of purpose. These are not negotiable; they are established provisions. Beyond that, there are specific things the Holy Spirit sets before you as you walk with Him. The challenge is that many believers use their eyes more than their ears. They see what others are doing and want to copy it. They see a method that is working somewhere and try to reproduce it. But God never asked you to copy another man’s pattern; He asked you to follow His voice. The Bible says, “I have set before thee an open door.” If He did not set it, it is not your door, no matter how wide it looks.

So, discipline yourself to follow what God has placed before you. Stop chasing every opportunity that appears. Stop comparing your journey with others. If God has not spoken, you have no business moving. Learn to quiet your heart and listen. Let His Word define your expectations and His Spirit guide your steps. When you follow what God has set before you, you will walk in peace and confidence, because you know He is backing it. But when you chase what men have set before you, you will struggle to sustain it. From today, make it a principle: your life will be governed by divine placement, not human attraction. What God sets before you is what you must see, pursue, and possess.

THOUGHT TO PONDER

Am I pursuing what God has set before me or what others have placed before me? What “open door” in my life have I assumed is from God without hearing Him?

PRAYER

Father, train my heart to recognise what You have set before me. Deliver me from distraction and help me walk only in Your ordained path, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
