The Pathway To Calling Is Process
One of the greatest misunderstandings many believers have about calling is the idea that destiny begins with public manifestation. In reality, calling begins with process. God does not take people out of the blues and suddenly place them into responsibility. There is always a divine preparation that shapes the person before the assignment becomes visible. In fact, one of the clearest truths you must understand is that God now trusts tested people, not innocent people. Adam was the only human being who appeared without a process. He was created as an adult, placed directly into responsibility, and given an assignment immediately. Yet he failed when the test came. That failure taught a lesson that runs through the rest of Scripture: innocence is not the same as maturity. Since Adam, God has chosen to process men before entrusting them with responsibility.
Even the Lord Jesus Christ followed this pattern when God became man. He did not appear suddenly as a mature minister. He was born as a baby, grew through the stages of life, and passed through different levels of development before His ministry began. By the time Jesus appeared for baptism at the age of thirty, He had already gone through the processes that prepared Him for His assignment. When the heavens opened and God declared, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased,” Jesus had not yet performed any miracle or preached any sermon publicly. What God was pleased with was the process He had successfully passed through. Heaven was affirming a life that had already been tested and proven. This shows that ministry is not the first thing in God’s plan; process is.
Therefore, if you truly want to fulfil your calling in the house of God, you must learn to embrace the process that God designs for you. The question is not whether you have started doing something visible; the real question is whether you are pleasing God in the way you are passing through your training. Many people rush toward manifestation but ignore the preparation that makes manifestation sustainable. Yet destiny is not built by speed but by formation. When you submit yourself to the process God has arranged, you are allowing Him to build the character, understanding, and stability that your calling will require. The visible assignment will come in its time, but the foundation must first be laid in the hidden seasons where God is shaping your life.
THOUGHT TO PONDER
Am I embracing the process God is using to shape my life? Am I seeking manifestation before passing the tests of preparation?
PRAYER
Father, give me grace to submit to the process You have designed for my life. Help me pass every test and grow into the maturity required for my calling, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
