Acts That Show Revelation Of Divine Purpose
Another act that moves the hand of God positively in a person’s life is the act that demonstrates a revelation of divine things and divine purpose. Many believers live their lives without recognising that there are specific moments in life that require the deliberate involvement of God. When a person understands this, he begins to approach life differently. He recognises that there are junctions in life where human effort alone is not enough and where divine help must be invited. This understanding explains why some people seek God intentionally at critical moments in their lives. When a person begins a new season, such as a new responsibility, a new phase of education, or a major life decision, recognising the need for God’s involvement shows spiritual understanding. It reveals a heart that acknowledges that life cannot be lived successfully without God’s guidance and help. Such acts demonstrate a revelation of divine purpose, and they move the hand of God because they show that the believer recognises the importance of aligning with God’s plan for his life.
One of the clearest biblical illustrations of this principle is found in the prayer of Solomon. When God invited Solomon to ask for anything he desired, Solomon did not request wealth or power. Instead, he prayed, “Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people” (1 Kings 3:9). The Bible says that Solomon’s request pleased the Lord (1 Kings 3:10). Why did it please God? Because Solomon’s prayer revealed that he understood the purpose behind his position. He recognised that he had been placed in a responsibility that required divine wisdom. Many believers pray prayers that reveal little understanding of God’s purpose, but when a person prays from the perspective of divine purpose, heaven responds differently. Solomon’s single request moved the hand of God so powerfully that God not only granted him wisdom but also added riches and honour that he had not even asked for. This shows that when a believer acts with a clear revelation of divine purpose, God often releases blessings beyond what was requested.
The tragedy in the lives of many believers is that they have little understanding of God’s purpose for their lives. When a person lacks this revelation, his actions are often guided only by immediate needs and personal desires. But the believer who understands that his life is part of God’s plan begins to live differently. The Bible says, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee” (Jeremiah 1:5). This means that our lives are not accidents. God knew us and ordained a purpose for our existence even before we were born. When a believer begins to recognise this truth, his actions start reflecting that revelation. He becomes more deliberate about seeking God, aligning his decisions with divine purpose, and responding to what God desires for his life. Acts that show this understanding move the hand of God because they demonstrate that the believer is walking in partnership with the purpose for which God created him.

Do my actions show that I recognise the purpose of God for my life? What decision in my life right now requires deliberate alignment with God’s purpose?
PRAYER
Father, open my eyes to understand Your purpose for my life. Help my actions reflect a clear revelation of Your plans so that I walk in alignment with Your will, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
