Obedience is the pathway to promotion in God’s kingdom. It is not enough to hear His call to come up higher; you must also act on it. Saul’s failure to obey God’s instruction cost him the kingdom (1 Samuel 15:22-23), while Jesus, through perfect obedience, fulfilled His divine mission.
Higher levels in life and ministry demand unwavering obedience to God’s Word and direction. Obedience often requires faith to step into the unknown and trust that God’s plan is better than your own. It may mean forgiving when it is hard, giving when it stretches you, or surrendering a cherished plan for God’s higher purpose.
Jesus said, “If ye love me, keep my commands” (John 14:15).
Obedience is not about legalism; it is an expression of love and trust.
Each act of obedience draws you closer to God and aligns you with His will. Reflect on areas where you have struggled to obey fully and commit to surrendering those areas to Him today.
THOUGHT TO PONDER: Is there an area of your life where God is calling you to obey? What steps can you take today to align with His will?
PRAYER: Lord, help me to walk in complete obedience to Your Word. I trust that Your plans are always for my good and Your glory. Amen.
