24 December 2022: INTIMACY WITH GOD: A CRITICAL NECESSITY FOR MARRIAGE (1) – John 10:1-5; Genesis 2:23-24

Knowing God’s voice is the number one necessity for a man because a man is the glory of God and his wife is his (the man’s) glory. The man must download God into his family, download God to the earth, must be able to bring his wife into something that God is doing with him. This is what makes marriage right, exciting, and heaven on earth.

The first thing about a man that wants to marry, who will be the head of a home for God, is his ability to discern the voice of God.

Jesus said, “My sheep know my voice (Joh. 10:4)” and you must do everything you need to do to have that as a man.

In Genesis 2:23, God handed that rib over to Adam. Adam, not God, gave the name “woman”. God brought her unto the man, handed her over, and Adam said, “This is the bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called woman because she was taken out of me. She is a part of me, she was taken out of me, she is my completion, she is my remainder, she is the completing part that makes me whole; the bone of my bones, the flesh of my flesh.” So, from that point that the woman was handed over to the man, the man must take over to take charge; call her who she is supposed to be, decide what she will be part of, and decide what they will do together.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, You are my Shepherd. I believe Your Word that I know Your voice. I receive grace to continue in Your Word and grow in intimacy with You in Jesus’ name. Amen!
