According to church historians, the verse above written by David showed that he was a product of adultery by his father. That was why his brothers did not so much believe in his future because he was like a person that the father brought from outside. He had a reason to react to his being sent to feed animals. Even if they rejected you, God always has a place for you. You are always in the hand of God!
David could have fallen for the lie of the devil and felt that maybe his father just threw him away and rejected him because his mother was not one of his legitimate wives. How you were born is not as important as why you were born and where you came from. You may be the product of rape, yet God has a plan for you. You would not have become a human being if God did not have a plan for you. You may be born out of wedlock, but God has a plan for your life.
Once you became a human being, you came from God. No human being came from the devil; the devil does not have spirit to put inside a human body – you must have that understanding.
If David had become bitter and felt that his family cast him out to feed animals and began to kill the animals and do things to hurt his father, that would have killed his future. The field where he worked was where he became the sweet Psalmist of Israel. You must turn every bitter thing that people throw at you to make yourself better.
PRAYER: Lord, I receive a baptism of the revelation of your purpose for my existence; I shut down the lies of the devil against my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
