14 July 2022: WHAT GOD REQUIRES OF YOU SPIRITUALLY (2) – MATTHEW 28:19-20, MARK 16:15-18; 2 CORINTHIANS 3:17

Today, we will consider further requirements of God for you to be competent and strong spiritually.

3. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO CAST OUT DEVILS
This point is one area I’m a hundred percent sure the majority of Christians and churches either don’t believe in or leave to the pastors alone. The truth is, most Christians apply wisdom and understanding to their physical lives and when it comes to their Christian faith, they become non-thinking religious drones.

A Christian that doesn’t know how to cast out devils from people or places is like a soldier that doesn’t know how to operate his weaponry and kill the enemy. I want to show you something interesting in the scriptures concerning this matter.

2 Corinthians 3:17 says, “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” How does this scripture apply? It’s very simple. As a true Christian, you have the Spirit of the Lord dwelling in you. If this is true, then there must be liberty from demonic operations and not peaceful co-existence with devils anywhere you find yourself. According to the dictionary, liberty is “the state of being free within the society from oppressive restrictions…”

To liberate is to free a person, nation, or area from the control of a foreign or oppressive government. In this case, the oppressive government is the kingdom of darkness and if as a Christian, you can’t cast out devils, then there can’t be liberty where you find yourself.

If you allow the devil to co-exist with you, it’s only a matter of time before he begins to encroach on your territory. You must become a threat to the devil, such that when you move into a new area, start a new job, or meet a demon-possessed person, the devil can be sure that you will cast him out and put a stop to his operations without negotiation.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for the victory that I have in Christ to walk in victory over demonic operations. Amen!
