25 September 2026: TRAINING IS PORTABLE WEALTH – Proverbs 22:29; Ecclesiastes 9:10

A good-paying job is important, but the training you receive may be more valuable than the salary itself. Jobs can end, organisations can change and positions can be withdrawn, but sound training travels with you. In our ministry, people have served as secretaries, office assistants and staff members, then moved on to become prominent professionals and global players. Their starting point looked small, but they received discipline, exposure, responsibility and practical wisdom that later distinguished them. Never despise a place because the salary is not yet impressive if the training, relationships and experience are preparing you for a greater future. At the same time, do not remain indefinitely where you are neither learning nor progressing.

The right job should do more than pay bills; it should strengthen competence, character and credibility. Some people chase salary alone and reject environments that could train them deeply. Others stay in poorly paid work without developing themselves because they are afraid of change. Wisdom balances both. Secure honest work, apply yourself fully and learn everything the season can teach you. Pay attention to systems, communication, leadership, problem-solving and excellence. The people who came to us as students did not always have money to contribute, but their commitment to learning and serving moved them forward. A person who receives the right training can rebuild after a setback because the capacity remains inside him.

Ask yourself what your current work is adding to you beyond money. Are you becoming more skilful, reliable and valuable? Are you learning something that can serve you in another city, industry or nation? If not, take responsibility for further training. Read, enrol in courses, volunteer for demanding assignments and seek mentors who can correct your weaknesses. Do not wait for an employer to design your future. Your job is a platform, not your final identity. Receive the salary gratefully, but collect the training deliberately. Build a professional reputation that opens doors and develop gifts that can create other streams of value. When the right training joins wisdom and diligence, your earning power increases and your dependence on one position reduces. God can use an ordinary work environment as a school for destiny, but only the attentive person graduates from it. Therefore, stop doing your work merely to survive until payday. Work as someone gathering tools for the future. The skills, habits and relationships you cultivate today may become the capital with which you build financial independence tomorrow. Even assignments that seem unrelated to your dream can train qualities your dream will later require. Do not perform them carelessly. Learn punctuality, stewardship, teamwork and the ability to finish. God may be using today’s ordinary responsibility to prepare the temperament needed for tomorrow’s larger platform.

Lord, help me to recognise and receive the training hidden in my present season. Make me diligent, skilful and prepared for every future assignment.
