5 September 2026: WHEN WISDOM HAS NO VOICE – Ecclesiastes 9:15-16; Proverbs 14:24

Money is not the answer to everything, but a lack of it can restrict the expression of wisdom, vision and assignment. Ecclesiastes speaks of a poor wise man whose wisdom delivered an entire city, yet no one remembered him afterwards. His wisdom was genuine, but poverty reduced its reach and silenced his voice. The Bible also tells of a son of the prophets who feared the Lord but died leaving debt behind, and his creditor came for his children. That outcome did not agree with the covenant promises available to a man who feared God. Whenever your experience contradicts what Scripture reveals, do not merely accept it; examine what knowledge, principle or instruction may be missing.

Wisdom is better than strength because wisdom can produce what strength cannot. However, wisdom must be given expression. Two people may be equally gifted, but one becomes known while the other remains hidden because only one has the resources to carry the gift beyond his immediate environment. Nothing frustrates a man like receiving a great vision without the funds to execute it. The poor wise man should have become a consultant, exporting the wisdom that saved his city, but he lacked the capacity to take it further. Many believers receive ideas while praying, yet those ideas never become solutions because they have not developed the financial wisdom, credibility or reserves required for execution. The devil does not always need to destroy a vision; sometimes he only needs to keep the carrier financially unprepared.

Do not make money your first pursuit; pursue the wisdom to create, manage and multiply it. If you meet a truly wealthy person, it is better to learn how he thinks than merely ask him for money. Some people beg from those they should be studying. A brother once had a business opportunity that required a small amount of capital and could have produced a much greater return within weeks, but he could not raise the money. The opportunity passed, another person executed the idea, and the wealth moved into different hands. Learn the lesson: opportunity alone does not produce wealth; preparedness does. Prioritise wisdom, manage time seriously and build capacity before the moment arrives. Your effectiveness on earth will be affected by the resources you can generate and access. Ask God for wisdom, but also obey the practical instructions that will make that wisdom visible, useful and transferable. Do not celebrate revelation without preparing its vehicle of manifestation. A divine idea may be powerful, but it still needs planning, skill, discipline and resources before people can benefit from it. Let your wisdom become productive, visible and available.

PRAYER

Father, give me wisdom that produces tangible results. Help me to build the discipline, capacity and resources required to give full expression to Your purpose for my life.
