There is another dimension of knowledge you must come into if your faith will be effective: not only who you are in Christ, but what Christ has become to you. Many believers are still trying to obtain from God what He has already provided in Christ. The Bible says Christ has been made unto us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. That means these are not things you are trying to achieve by effort; they are realities already deposited in your life. When you do not know this, you struggle unnecessarily. You try to become righteous by effort, you try to gain wisdom by stress, and you try to overcome sin by struggle. But when you understand what Christ has become to you, everything changes.

For example, Christ is your righteousness. That means you are not accepted by God based on your performance but based on what Christ has done. When you understand that, you stop trying to earn acceptance and begin to live from acceptance. Holiness then becomes a natural outflow of your identity, not a forced discipline. In the same way, Christ is your wisdom. You are not stranded in life; the wisdom of God is already within you. When you face decisions, you can look inward and trust the Spirit of God to guide you. This is the difference between religious struggle and spiritual understanding. One is trying to become; the other is expressing what is already true.

So, shift your mindset from striving to knowing. Stop trying to achieve by the flesh what has already been secured in the Spirit. Begin to acknowledge what Christ has become to you and act from that position. When you understand that you are righteous, you will live righteously. When you understand that you carry divine wisdom, you will act wisely. When you understand that you are redeemed, you will resist every attempt of the enemy to put you back into bondage. This is how faith becomes effective; it is built on the knowledge of what Christ has already done. From today, stop struggling to become what you already are. Step into it and live it out.

THOUGHT TO PONDER

Am I still striving to become what Christ has already made me? Which area of my life do I need to start living from my redemption instead of struggling toward it?

PRAYER

Father, open my understanding to what Christ has become to me. Help me to live from that reality and walk in the fullness of my redemption, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
