One of the greatest strengths of a believer is the covenant he has with God, but many live as though they are strangers to it. The Bible says that before salvation, we were “strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world.” But now, in Christ, that has changed. You are no longer a stranger; you are a covenant child. Yet, if you do not understand what that means, you will live below your privilege. Knowledge of your covenant position determines how your faith responds in times of challenge. If you do not know what belongs to you, you cannot take hold of it.

When David faced Goliath, his confidence did not come from physical strength; it came from covenant understanding. He knew that Goliath had no relationship with God, while he himself was in covenant with Him. That knowledge changed everything. Others saw a giant; David saw a defeated enemy. Why? Because he understood that anyone who stood against him was standing against God. That is the power of covenant consciousness. It gives you boldness, assurance, and stability. It makes you realise that your battles are not yours alone; God is committed to you. When you utterly understand this, fear loses its hold on you.

So, begin to walk in the awareness of your covenant with God. You have a covenant of provision, a covenant of protection, a covenant of healing, and a covenant of guidance. You are not alone in life; God is actively involved in your affairs. When challenges arise, remind yourself: I am in covenant with God. That changes how you pray, how you speak, and how you respond. You stop reacting like a victim and start standing like a son. The covenant guarantees that your outcome will align with God’s purpose. From today, refuse to live like someone without hope. Embrace your covenant advantage and let it shape your faith and your life.

THOUGHT TO PONDER

Do I utterly understand and walk in my covenant position with God? How would my response to challenges change if I became fully aware of this?

PRAYER

Father, open my understanding of my covenant with You. Help me to walk in its reality and to live with boldness and confidence, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
