There are some truths that many believers have not settled in their hearts, and until you settle them, your walk with God will remain unstable. One of those truths is this: your life will always move in the direction of what you consistently see inside of you. Faith is a journey, and it begins with sight. When God came to Abram in a vision, He was not just speaking words; He was introducing him to a new way of seeing. Yet Abram replied, “seeing I go childless.” That statement revealed his internal picture. God had spoken the promise, but Abram was still seeing lack. You must understand this: miracles do not begin outside; they begin with a change of sight inside. If a man keeps seeing defeat, no amount of prayer around him will produce victory in him. What you see will eventually become your reality.

God never saw Abraham as childless; He saw him as the father of a multitude. But until Abraham agreed with that vision, nothing changed. The Bible says, “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” If you are going to walk with God, you must agree with Him in what you see. Many people are waiting for their situation to change before they believe, but God is waiting for their sight to change before He moves. People may describe you by your present condition, but God defines you by your potential. Men see your problem; God sees your answer. If you keep seeing yourself the way people see you, you will remain where you are. But if you begin to see yourself the way God sees you, you will start moving toward His purpose for your life.

So, the question is not what is happening around you, but what are you seeing within you? This is where the journey begins; from seeing to possessing. Are you seeing yourself rising or falling? Are you seeing healing or sickness? Are you seeing progress or limitation? You cannot manifest differently from what you consistently picture inside. That is why God will always work on your vision first before He works on your situation. If your inner image does not change, your outer life will remain the same. Make up your mind from today: refuse every picture that contradicts what God has said about you. Replace it with the vision of God from His Word. When your sight aligns with God, your life will begin to align with His promise.

THOUGHT TO PONDER

What picture am I consistently holding about my life? Does it agree with what God has said about me?

PRAYER

Father, correct my inner sight. Help me to see myself exactly as You see me, and align my life with Your vision, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR

2 Kings 18:13-19:37; Acts 21:1-17; Psalm 149:1-9; Proverbs 18:8
