After you have made up your mind not to consider contrary circumstances, the next question becomes unavoidable: what then will you consider? You cannot remove your attention from something without placing it on something else. The Bible says Abraham “considered not” his body, but that does not mean he became empty-minded; it means he redirected his focus. Faith is not sustained by ignoring everything; it is sustained by focusing on the right thing. The Scripture instructs us to look unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. That means your attention must be anchored on God and His Word. Many believers try to ignore their problems without replacing their focus, and that leads to mental fatigue. But when your focus is fixed on God’s promise, your faith is constantly being supplied with strength.

What you consistently consider will eventually dominate your life. If you keep looking at symptoms, you will become ‘symptom conscious.’ If you keep rehearsing your limitations, you will become ‘limitation driven.’ But if you keep your attention on God, through worship, prayer, and meditation on His Word, you will become ‘faith conscious.’ This is how you maintain spiritual stability amid pressure. The Bible says we walk by faith and not by sight, and that is not automatic; it is a decision you must make daily. When contrary evidence arises, shift your focus immediately. Begin to worship God. Begin to declare His promises. Begin to meditate on what He has said. These are not religious activities; they are spiritual strategies to keep your faith alive.

Take control of your attention from today. Do not allow your mind to wander into fear, doubt, or negative imagination. If thoughts arise that contradict your expectation, redirect your focus deliberately. Consider the Lord in worship. Consider His Word through confession. Consider His faithfulness through meditation. This is how you stay in the environment where miracles happen. Abraham did not become strong in faith by accident; he became strong by consistently focusing on God instead of his condition. If you adopt the same discipline, your faith will not collapse under pressure. Instead, it will grow stronger, and your outcome will align with what you have been focusing on.

THOUGHT TO PONDER

What am I consistently focusing on; God’s promise or my situation? What deliberate action will I take today to shift my focus?

PRAYER

Father, help me to fix my eyes on You and Your Word. Strengthen me to maintain the right focus so my faith can grow and produce results, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
