28 May 2026: DON’T LET THE DEVIL BORROW YOUR LIFE – 1 Peter 5:8; Romans 6:13

One of the sobering realities every believer must understand is that the devil is interested in the capacity of human life. He studies the potential God placed inside people and constantly seeks opportunities to divert that potential away from God’s purpose. Throughout history, there have been individuals who carried tremendous influence and leadership capacity, yet their lives were ultimately used for destructive purposes because they never yielded themselves to God. The devil is not impressed by a person’s background, race, or education; what attracts his attention is the capacity placed within that life by God. If that capacity is not surrendered to the Lord, the enemy will attempt to redirect it toward purposes that oppose God’s plan.

This is why salvation alone is not the end of the journey. Being born again introduces a believer to God’s Kingdom, but the process of becoming useful in that Kingdom requires continual surrender and shaping. A believer who refuses to grow, learn, and submit to God’s training may still carry great potential but remain ineffective in fulfilling divine purpose. The enemy often tries to influence such people through pride, distraction, or misplaced ambition, gradually pulling them away from the path God designed for them. The tragedy is not merely that such individuals fail personally, but that the capacity God placed within them never reaches its intended impact.

Therefore, guard your life carefully and present yourself fully to God’s shaping process. Do not allow the devil to hijack the abilities, influence, and opportunities that God placed within you. Instead, continually surrender your life, your ambitions, and your decisions to the Lord. When your heart remains yielded to God, your potential becomes a channel for His purpose rather than a tool for the enemy. The life that is fully surrendered to God becomes a powerful instrument through which His will is accomplished on earth.

Am I intentionally yielding my life to God’s purpose, or could the enemy be diverting my potential through distraction or misplaced priorities?

PRAYER

Father, I surrender my life completely to You. Do not allow the enemy to misuse the capacity You placed within me. Shape my life so that everything You placed in me will fulfil Your divine purpose, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
