You Cannot Escape Process And Succeed

One of the mistakes people make in their journey with God is trying to escape the process that He designed for their growth. When the pressure of training becomes uncomfortable, some people begin to look for shortcuts. Instead of submitting to correction or learning the lessons required at a particular stage, they attempt to bypass the system entirely. Yet the truth remains that God does not remove process simply because it is difficult. His purpose in the process is to prepare the person for the responsibility ahead. If a believer avoids the process, he may temporarily appear to move forward, but the deficiency created by that avoidance will eventually reveal itself. Destiny cannot be built on an incomplete foundation.

Sometimes people try to escape process by changing environments. They leave a place where their weaknesses have been exposed and move somewhere else where their history is unknown. In the new environment, they may quickly be given opportunities or positions that they were not prepared for. On the surface, this can look like progress, but in reality it is only postponing the test. When the demands of responsibility increase, the areas that were never properly formed will begin to show. God does not design process to punish people but to develop them. Without that development, the weight of calling can become destructive rather than fruitful. That is why the Scriptures show repeatedly that even those whom God greatly used had to pass through preparation before their assignments became visible.

If you understand this principle, you will stop running from the very things God is using to build your life. Instead of resisting process, you will embrace it. Training, correction, discipline, and instruction are not obstacles to destiny; they are instruments that shape it. Even the Lord Jesus learned obedience through the things He suffered. The discomfort of process is temporary, but the strength it produces will sustain you for the rest of your journey. Therefore, make a deliberate decision to submit yourself to the process God has arranged in your life. Allow Him to complete the work of formation within you so that when the time for responsibility comes, you will not only step into your calling but also stand faithfully within it.

THOUGHT TO PONDER

Am I embracing the process God is using to shape me? Have I ever tried to escape training instead of learning the lessons within it?

PRAYER

Father, give me humility and patience to remain in the process You have designed for my life. Help me grow through every stage of training so I can fulfil my calling faithfully, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
