Another principle we can see from Exodus 3:17 is that God tells us the outcome but expects us to work the process to become that outcome. When He told the children of Israel to go to the Promised Land, He called it a land flowing with milk and honey – a land in which they would eat bread without scarceness, a land where they could dig iron from the mountains, a land filled with all kinds of good things – but He didn’t tell them that there were giants in that land. Why? This is because the giants were not a factor in their possession of the land. As far as God was concerned, the giants couldn’t stop them. The only people that could stop them were themselves.
In the fulfilment of God’s promise to you, the devil is not your problem. There is nowhere in the entire Bible where it says the devil is the problem of God’s people. Rather, the Bible says in Hosea 4:6, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”. In John 8:32, Jesus said, “You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free”. So, ignorance is the problem of the Church. The devil is the problem to anybody who is not born again, but he is not a problem to the born-again person.
So, ignorance is the problem. Ignorance of what? Ignorance of the Word, the principles, and the ways of God’s operations. Whatever God did not tell you cannot be a factor stopping you from receiving His promises; God will take care of that. God only expects you to confess His Word as though they were.
PRAYER: Thank You, Father, for giving me Your Word as my outcome. I ask that You help me, through the Holy Spirit, to work the process until I see the outcome manifest in my life in Jesus’ name. Amen!
