The third line of attack of the devil is to make the Word of God sound like the word of men. What the devil does is to make the Word of God appear as the opinion of men. As an adjacent attack to that, he makes the leading figures of Christianity look ordinary by highlighting the faults and fallibilities in their lives to discredit their messages. We are not to interpret the Word of God by our experiences but interpret our experiences by the Word of God. Conversion means bringing your life to the Word of God and allowing the Word of God to adjust you.
If you are looking at the mirror and arguing with the mirror, you are not okay. The Word of God is the mirror that God gave human beings. God didn’t say you are perfect but insist that you adjust yourself. For example, the Word of God says, “Husbands love your wives (Eph. 5:25)”. If you are mistreating your wife as a husband, you need to adjust to that word and start loving your wife. Don’t argue with that Scripture, or else, you will need some deliverance there. God knows that we are not perfect and that is why He gave us His Word to correct us and make us better. Once you find what the Bible says about something, begin to adjust.
The Word of God says, “Wives submit to your own husbands in the Lord” and you say there is nothing to submit to in your husband. That is arguing with the Scripture. Don’t argue. Adjust and see what happens after that. Don’t let the devil make the Word of God sound like the word of men to you.
PRAYER: I will not be a victim of the devil’s attack in taking the Word of God as the word of men in Jesus’ name. Amen!
