One of the major reasons many believers struggle in their faith walk is because they are trying to understand the process instead of believing the outcome. When God spoke to Abraham about inheriting the land, his immediate question was, “whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it?” That question reflects the natural tendency of man; we want to know how before we believe what. But God does not operate that way. He reveals the outcome and expects you to believe it, while He takes responsibility for the process. Faith is not built on understanding the details; it is built on trusting the One who has spoken.

This is where many people miss their miracles. They receive a word from God, but instead of holding on to it, they begin to analyse how it will happen. They look at their current situation, their resources, and their limitations, and they conclude that it is not possible. But God never asked you to figure it out; He asked you to believe it. When the angel spoke to Mary, her question was similar; she wanted to understand the process. But God’s response was to direct her back to His power, not her reasoning. The same principle applies today: your responsibility is to accept the Word; God’s responsibility is to fulfil it.

So, release yourself from the burden of trying to work out the details. If God has spoken concerning your life, settle it in your heart. Stop asking “how” and start declaring “it shall be.” Your role is to believe, confess, and act in line with the outcome. God has already assigned the process to His power and His agents. When you try to take over that responsibility, you enter worry and doubt. But when you trust Him, you enter rest. From today, make a decision: you will focus on the outcome God has declared and leave the process in His hands. That is how faith operates effectively.

THOUGHT TO PONDER

Am I trying to figure out the process of what God has promised? What would change if I focused only on believing the outcome?

PRAYER

Father, help me to trust You completely. Deliver me from overthinking and teach me to rest in Your promises, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
