14 August 2025: HIS WORDS, MY WORDS, AND MY REALITIES (II) – Ephesians 1:1–3; 2 Corinthians 10:4–6

God has empowered you with authority to deal with negative realities through your words, but many believers live with a mixture of blessings and curses simply because they are ignorant of this truth. Ignorance is not innocence; it is vulnerability. Problems don’t go away by wishing—they grow when left unaddressed. If the devil is sowing seeds in your life and you don’t confront them, they will take root and multiply. That is why you must start using your mouth to bind the operations of the enemy and loose the provisions of God. If you don’t resist the wrong things, they won’t stop. Faith doesn’t wait for favourable conditions; it speaks to conditions.

There is a spiritual law you must understand: everything you resist will diminish, and everything you attack verbally will eventually leave your life.

But whatever you speak against, you can never attract. You can’t be criticising prosperity and expect it to rest on you. You can’t attack divine health and expect it to flow in your body. Many believers unknowingly close doors against themselves with the same mouth they use to pray. When your words align with criticism and sarcasm, you are already cancelling your own blessings. If you want life, speak it. If you want peace, confess it. The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus is voice-activated. Whatever you want to see in your life must come out of your mouth consistently.

Romans 8:2 makes it clear that there are two systems at work—the law of the Spirit of life and the law of sin and death. Many Christians, although filled with the Holy Ghost, operate under the latter because of their negative confession. They speak like unbelievers at home, in arguments, or under pressure. They forget that words don’t expire; they travel into seasons. A man can forget the damaging words he said in a quarrel, but those words remain active in the spirit. That is why you must put a watch over your mouth. Don’t let your tongue serve the devil’s agenda. Use it to bring the divine into your daily experience.

THOUGHT TO PONDER: Are your words cancelling the very things you pray for? Have you trained your mouth to consistently release the law of the Spirit of life over your family?

Lord, set a divine guard over my lips. Let my words serve Your purposes and not empower the enemy. I choose life and declare Your truth in Jesus’ name. Amen.
