16 April 2025: THE VOICE OF YOUR SPIRIT – Romans 8:16; Proverbs 20:27

Your spirit has a voice that communicates clearly with you when empowered by the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:16 declares, “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.” This inner witness is your spirit’s voice, continually communicating the truth of God’s Word and confirming His will in your life.

Your spirit, illuminated by the Holy Spirit, speaks to you through mental impressions and a deep inner peace or unease. Learning to listen carefully to this inner witness helps you discern God’s direction for your life clearly. Many believers struggle spiritually because they rely solely on their mental reasoning and physical senses, missing out on the greater clarity available through the spirit.

Consistently ignoring your spirit’s promptings dulls your spiritual sensitivity. However, promptly obeying the gentle nudges of your inner witness sharpens your discernment.

The more responsive you become to your spirit’s guidance, the more accurate your spiritual decisions will be.

Commit today to listening intently to your spirit’s voice. Develop spiritual sensitivity by daily communion with the Holy Spirit, consistently meditating on Scripture, and swiftly responding to inner impressions. Through this practice, you’ll live a life accurately aligned with God’s perfect purpose and experience lasting peace and fulfilment.
