11 August 2025: MULTIPLICATION OF GRACE THROUGH THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD – 2 Peter 1:3–4; Galatians 3:26-29

The Bible clearly reveals that grace multiplies through the knowledge of God. That means your access to grace in life is not automatic; it is proportionate to your growing revelation of God. In 2 Peter 1:3–4, we are told that all things that pertain to life and godliness have been given to us through the knowledge of Him who has called us. One critical element in this knowledge is understanding God’s promises—both Old and New Testament. In the Old Testament, you see promises that address your physical life on earth, while the New Testament contains promises that deal with your spiritual identity and eternal purpose.

To become a complete testimony of God’s plan for your life, you must embrace both. You can’t afford to hold to one and ignore the other.

Some Christians today wrongly assume that physical blessings are exclusive to the Jews or are no longer valid under the New Covenant. But the Bible does not suggest that. If anything, it brings Gentiles into the same inheritance by faith. Many Jews are naturally programmed to be great in life because the Scriptures gave them clear promises like “you shall be the head and not the tail.” They live with a conqueror’s mindset. Sadly, many believers have rejected those same promises due to faulty teaching or ignorance. You must understand that the promise to Abraham to make him a great nation is your promise too in Christ (Gal. 3:29). The greatness of the Old Testament and the preciousness of the New Testament must both be realities in your life.

When I studied the word “great,” I noticed that it appeared more frequently in the Old Testament, while the word “precious” appeared more in the New. Greatness refers to the physical manifestations of divine favour—possessions, influence, open doors. Preciousness speaks of spiritual riches—wisdom, intimacy with God, eternal treasures. God does not want you to be spiritually full and physically empty, or physically great but spiritually dry. His will is for you to be both great and precious, balanced in destiny, manifesting grace and peace through the knowledge of Him. That’s the full redemption package, and it’s yours to walk in.

THOUGHT TO PONDER: Are you balancing spiritual and physical promises in your life? What practical steps can you take today to embrace the full redemption package?

Holy Spirit, help me to grow in my knowledge of God. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
