The second step to applying the truth of seedtime fruitfully is that you must recognise and be on the hunt for the carrier(s) of the Blessing. Abraham had a clear revelation of the difference between the king of Sodom (who brought a contract) and Melchizedek (who brought the covenant). This is your greatest revelation for increase and enlargement.
Let me give you some additional examples of this step:
1. Joseph was carrying a promise but needed the blessing to actualise his promise; he needed what his father had – Gen. 48 and 49.
2. Abraham needed what Melchizedek carried – Heb. 7.
3. Peter needed what Jesus had – Luke 5:2-7.
Now that you know this, you must also recognise that there are three major forces for increase and fulfilment on earth from God:
1. God’s Promise or Calling – Deut. 6:1-3; Heb. 7:1-7.
2. The Seed – Heb. 7:1-7.
3. The Blessing – Pro. 10:22; Heb. 7:1-7
Your pursuit and goal should be to use your seed to provoke the blessing on your promise. Here is one more counsel: just like a curse, the blessing does not just come on you; you provoke it! It is in this step two that you discover the importance of step one (recognising the two types of giving).
Don’t confuse a man suffering for laziness and violation of God’s principles with a man who is carrying the blessing you need. God commands us to help those who can’t help themselves, not those who won’t help themselves!
PRAYER: Father, open my eyes to see and recognise carriers of the blessing I need on my path in destiny in Jesus’ name. Amen!
