09 September 2022: RECOGNISING SEEDTIME (8) – Genesis 28:20-22; Acts 4:34-37
As shared in our text yesterday, Barnabas in Acts 4:37, “Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.” Compare Barnabas with Ananias and Sapphira (Act. 5:1-10). The latter sold their land and secretly conspired to keep some of the proceeds for themselves. It was only a portion of the entire sales that Ananias brought.
Most givers in an environment are noticed faster by men and God. Whether you give time, talent, or treasures, givers are noticed faster and come to the limelight. If two brothers have equal giftings, but one is a giver of himself and his things, I believe he will be noticed for expression faster.
39. When you need a different harvest from what you currently have, change the seed you are sowing.
If you give your wife a car and she does not behave the way you like, change your seed to “time seed!”
A man’s harvest on earth is entirely dependent on his seed. Everything we need on earth is a harvest of the Kingdom. To change a negative harvest, change the seed you are sowing. To increase your harvest, increase your seed. To hasten your harvest, sow your seed earlier and on time!
40. It is the nature of Satan to steal or take, but the nature of God is to give. When you become a giver, you activate the nature of God in your life. Break the habit of stealing and enhance the nature of God.
41. When you need to change people’s attitudes towards you. Give to create a climate of favour for yourself – Luk. 6:38.
PRAYER: Lord, help me to be a faithful steward of the resources You have blessed me with in Jesus’ name. Amen!
