30 July 2023: TRIFOLD EXPRESSIONS OF THE WORD OF GOD (2) – Hebrews 4:12; Romans 10:17

We started looking at the trifold expressions of the word of God yesterday. We have looked at the Living Word (logos) and the Written Word (graphé). Today, we will look at the third expression of the Word of God.

3. The Spoken Word
Romans 10:17
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

…the word of God” in Romans 10:17 refers to Rhema, that is the Spoken Word. Faith comes first by the rhema, knowledge comes as you study the Written Word of God, and fellowship comes as you fellowship with the Living Word. However, miracles take place when you begin to speak the word of God out. Miracles don’t take place just because you have Jesus in your life or just because you are reading the Bible.

Miracles take place when the word coming out of your mouth is the word of God.

God’s power is not in His mouth, God’s power is in His word. If you put the word of God in your mouth, the same thing that will happen when God puts it in His mouth will happen.

ACTION: Take some time to declare the promises and covenant words of God to you.
