There are three kinds of burdens: human, satanic, and Holy Ghost burdens. The human burden is self-generated. It is usually generated by self or the environment imposes it on you. It mostly comes into people’s lives by taking thoughts. Jesus said in Matthew 6:25, “Take no thought!” Human burdens set in when you begin to think of life’s worries and responsibilities and how everything will be resolved. At this point, your heart becomes heavy with so many problems that you don’t know how you will solve them.
However, you must learn to cast your care upon the Lord for He cares for you (1 Pet. 5:7). When personal weights and issues overwhelm you, take all your burdens to the Lord and leave them there.
Literally, take them off your neck and put them on the neck of Jesus. If your mind goes back to them, don’t feel down but thank the Lord because He knows what to do and will work on them. If you allow self-inflicted burdens to overwhelm you, you will become insensitive to the burden of the Lord and be useless in the hands of the Holy Spirit.
If you allow the burdens of life to swamp your emotions, you will not know when you’ll be snapping at your children and getting rude to your boss. Do not be overwhelmed with problems! Cast your cares upon the Lord because He cares for you. He knows what He will do. God knows what to do to solve that matter for you. Do not let your environment impose a burden on you.
PRAYER: Father, I refuse to allow self-inflicted burdens to overwhelm my life. I cast all my cares, worries, and fears unto You and believe You for an incredible outcome in Jesus’ name. Amen!
