Let us continue from where we stopped yesterday.
3) You have the promise, now speak it! (Rom. 4:17)
Abraham spoke the promise of God with his mouth. He put His promise in his mouth. Until you put the promise of God in your mouth, it is not going to work. Your language must become the language of the promise of God.
That’s how God operates and the Bible says Abraham operated as God operated. The third step in Abraham’s faith is putting the promise of God in your mouth or putting it in your prayer.
Don’t ever go to pray about anything until you find out what God has said about it. Genuine, scriptural prayer is praying the word of God.
The Bible says, “My word… shall not return to me void (Isa. 55:11).” That is, the Word of God must be returned to Him. Who returns the word of God to Him? It is you and I that will return God’s word to Him by saying, “Father, You said…and we are relying on what You said”. Isaiah 43:26 says, “Put me in remembrance”. What are you going to put Him in remembrance of? Not the problems, but His promise. God already gave His promise for every problem that can exist in your life, just search the Bible for the promise to solve that problem.
4) Act according to the promise as if it is fulfilled (Rom. 4:19-20)
Abraham acted according to God’s promise as if it had been fulfilled. That’s the fourth step to Abraham’s kind of faith. Abraham changed his actions and made them line up with the promise of God.
PRAYER: Father, thank You for all Your promises in Christ are Yes and Amen. Open my eyes to see them. I receive the grace and discipline to speak and act accordingly in Jesus’ name. Amen!
