20 February 2026: YOUR TRACT CAN PREACH WHILE YOU SLEEP – Mark 4:26-27; Isaiah 55:11

Some people will never give you thirty minutes for a serious talk, yet they will read something at midnight when nobody is watching, and truth will grip them. Jesus said the kingdom is like a man that casts seed into the ground, then “should sleep, and rise night and day,” and the seed springs up: he knows not how (Mark 4:26-27 KJV). That is how the gospel works when it is planted. Your voice may stop at the gate, but the seed you drop can enter the room and keep speaking after you have gone. Many believers only witness when there is time for long conversation, so they miss people who are always in a hurry. Don’t do that. If you can’t always get a long hearing, learn to sow smartly; let the seed do the work when your mouth is no longer there. The gospel is not chained to your schedule; seed can travel without you.

That is where tract evangelism, letter evangelism, and literature evangelism come in. A tract is a small pamphlet written for evangelism: useful when there is little or no time to talk. Hand it out boldly with a clean smile and pray that they will read it and be touched. Letter evangelism is also powerful; words can travel where your legs cannot reach, especially to friends and family far away, or people you can’t easily speak to face-to-face. Write with love, be clear, and don’t turn it into a lecture, plant Christ.

Literature evangelism goes further: you can hand over books that contain the salvation message for people to read; It plants a seed in their heart.

Now be intentional. Carry tracts in your bag like you carry your keys; the day you need them; you won’t be scrambling. When you are going into an environment, pray for favour and utterance; understand the setting, dress simply and decently, and don’t waste time or over-stretch people’s courtesy. Introduce yourself properly and maintain leadership in the conversation: then press gently for a decision and set a follow-up appointment. After you sow, don’t panic if you don’t see instant results; Isaiah 55:11 KJV still stands: God’s Word will not return void. Your job is to sow faithfully and water wisely; God will give the increase, and souls will be saved.

THOUGHT TO PONDER: What gospel seed can I sow today through a tract, message, or letter? Who will I intentionally follow up this week after sowing?

PRIÈRE: Lord, make my words living seed. Give me favour, wisdom, and faithfulness to sow and follow up until souls are saved and established. Amen.
