Jhe first thing that must happen between you and the Holy Ghost for an overcoming life is the issue of submitting and yielding your will to the Holy Ghost. As a believer, your yieldedness to the Holy Spirit can be at four levels, according to Ezekiel 47. These are:
1. Le niveau jusqu’aux chevilles
2. Le niveau jusqu’aux genoux
3. Les reins sont au niveau, et
4. L'expérience fluviale
A person who is at an ankle-deep level in the river of the Holy Ghost is going to have total control over the Holy Spirit. This category of believers is just born again and nothing more after they are saved. At this level, they just relate with Jesus only as their Saviour. Jesus has saved them from sin, but they have not given Him access to be the One directing their lives. Until you make Jesus the ‘Lord’ of your life, you are not safe. When you make Jesus the Lord of your life, you have made the final and last decision of your life.
You cannot start your journey in destiny and life-saving Christianity until you receive Jesus as your Lord.
And what this means is, “Lord, this is my final decision. From here on, you take the decision, and I will carry it out.” If you have not done that, Jesus is not your Lord. He may be your Saviour, but He is not yet your ‘Lord’. In such a state, you will make heaven, but you may not enjoy the trip because you will have a lot of accidents on the road since you would be the one making all the decisions for your life.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I make a commitment today that I will always submit to your Lordship and will. You are my Lord, and I will always yield to your ways in Jesus’ name. Amen.
