28 mai 2025 : CULTIVER L’HABITUDE DE LA GRATITUDE – Psaume 103:1-2 ; 1 Thessaloniciens 5:18

Gratitude is a powerful spiritual discipline that significantly increases your effectiveness and fruitfulness in life and ministry. Psalm 103:1-2 reminds us, “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.” A grateful heart continually recognises and appreciates God’s goodness, maintaining an attitude of thanksgiving even in challenging circumstances.

I always remind believers that gratitude is not a feeling; it is a conscious choice. Paul instructed clearly, “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you” (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Notice, he did not say give thanks for everything, but in everything. Gratitude helps you maintain spiritual perspective and protects your heart from bitterness and discouragement.

Effective people consistently cultivate gratitude, consciously choosing to thank God in all circumstances.

Gratitude aligns your perspective with God’s goodness, strengthens your faith, and enhances your spiritual stamina.

Without it, even minor setbacks can seem overwhelming and cause unnecessary discouragement.

Reflect on your attitude today. Have you cultivated gratitude as a regular discipline, or do you easily slip into complaining when challenges arise? Choose today to deliberately practice gratitude, and watch how your spiritual effectiveness, joy, and resilience multiply.

PRAYER: Lord, help me cultivate gratitude as a daily spiritual habit. Fill my heart with constant awareness of Your goodness and strengthen me to remain thankful in all things. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
